Important Notes
- Government fees may change based on the Department / Amer / TAS-HEEL receipt.
- Fees, documents, details and processing duration are based on GDRFA Dubai (Amer Centre).
- Other Emirates may have variations and changes in requirements.
- Visa validity for Expatriate Sponsors is 1 year — annual renewal is required [[3]] [[4]].
- The sponsor's own UAE residence visa must be valid at the time of maid visa renewal. If the sponsor's visa is expired or about to expire, it must be renewed first.
- Medical insurance is required for all domestic workers and is issued after a "FIT" medical certificate and Emirates ID typing copy are submitted [[8]].
- It is the sponsor's responsibility to organise and pay for the renewal procedure before the current visa expires [[5]].
