Important Notes
- ILOE (Involuntary Loss of Employment) insurance is mandatory for all employees working in the UAE, in both public and private sectors, as per Federal Decree Law No. 13 of 2022.
- This scheme provides financial compensation to eligible employees who lose their jobs involuntarily — i.e., due to reasons other than disciplinary action or resignation.
- Eligible employees may receive compensation of up to AED 20,000 in the event of involuntary job loss.
- The ILOE scheme covers both Government (Public) and Private sector employees across the UAE.
- Fees are determined by salary bracket — AED 252 for salaries above AED 16,000 and AED 126 for salaries below AED 16,000, plus applicable typing charges and VAT.
- New employees must register using their Entry Permit, while existing residents can use their Emirates ID.
- Failure to subscribe to the ILOE scheme may result in penalties and fines as per UAE labour regulations.
- Government fees may change based on the Department / authority at the time of processing.
